DIY Tissue Paper Pom-Poms

Aren't these great?!

Instead of a mobile in the nursery, I thought these would be much more pretty and stylish! And, we all know, my kid has gotta have style!

I used this simple tutorial from Martha Stewart, that you can find here.

Vintage Nursery Rhymes Framed Prints

If you remember, I bought some Vintage Nursery Rhyme Books and made this cute tissue box cover for the nursery....

I also chose 6 of the nursery rhymes to frame. I bought simple white frames at Micheal's and used scrapbook paper as the background. Warning: some of the photos are at funny angles....I was trying to avoid glares and reflections! :)

Nursery Peak!

Here is a peak of what is going on in our nursery. I do apologize, I took these photos with my phone, so they are not the best quality!

 

The dresser is really an old buffet that I found on Craigslist (for an amazing $75!!) and painted. The mirror is also a Craigslist find that I spray painted!

I still have to paint the bookshelf. I'm having some trouble with that one. When I was a kid, this bookshelf was in my grandparents house and I can't remember a time I was there that I wasn't pulling one of my books or one of my grandmother's 30+ yearbooks (she was a teacher) from it. I know it will still be the same bookshelf, but......

 

I was pleasantly surprised with this little wall. These are wooden plaques that hung in my husband's nursery. At first, I did not want this nursery to have the animal-y, baby look. But these are vintagey enough to fit in perfectly! Needless to say, the hubby was very happy about their inclusion.

Modge Podged Valentine's Collage Decorations

Last year, I bought small canvases and Valentine die cuts and made a cute piece of "Valentine Art." All I did was modge podge the pieces on the canvas after painting it. This year, I added the twine so that I could hang them around the house!

I think these would also be cute little gifts....on the cheap!
